Commissions

I write and record music for solo piano, chamber ensembles, and theatre as well as bespoke pieces for events, film, and other projects. Some recent context: I was 2023–2024 LSO Soundhub Associate Composer, a recipient of a Sound and Music Composer Award, and I composed for Quiet Songs, a Stage Award-nominated production staged at the Barbican. My work has also featured on BBC Sounds.

I studied Composition to master's level (distinction) at Goldsmiths, University of London, and hold a first-class degree in Music from Canterbury Christ Church University. Past commissions have been performed by the Maggini Quartet, Ensemble L'imaginaire, and other professional musicians.

'He is smart, artistically serious, and completely driven and dedicated, and was clearly an exceptional student. I can’t help thinking that if he had gone to Cambridge or the RAM at 18, you’d already have heard of him.'

- Paul Clark, Co-Artistic Director, Clod Ensemble

How it works

Current availability: A busy period around the start of the school year in September 2026, jury duty and a recording session in October 2026. Full availability for the remainder of the year.

  1. Get in touch with a bit about the project's instrumentation, purpose, timeline, and budget if you have one in mind.

  2. I'll get back to you within a few days to let you know whether it's a good fit, give a rough sense of cost and turnaround, and ask any questions.

  3. Once we agree on the brief, I'll share drafts as the piece develops, so you're not waiting until the end to hear anything.

I quote per project, since a two-minute piano miniature and a twenty-minute ensemble work are very different jobs. Get in touch with your brief and I'll give you a straight answer on cost and timing.

I support the Musicians' Union Fair Pay campaign. Unfortunately, I'm not able to work for exposure.
