Parametric Study served as a means of testing the applications of some of the techniques that made MONO, my later and more substantial work, possible.

A combination of rigorous pan-intervallic planning and my 'parametric' means of thinking about music gained from immersion in Brian Ferneyhough studies yielded more possibilities than I planned for, and the piece's four distinct sections attempt to make use of as much of these as possible.

Though it remains unperformed, the textures and what it is necessary to term 'parametric counterpoint' will, I believe, make for a very interesting musical experience.
